Eng. Mohd Abu Afifeh - Consulting Engineer - Civil Engineer

Eng. Mohd Abu Afifeh is currently the CEO of ESG-Solutions and a founding member of its board. He possesses extensive expertise in engineering development, training, and capacity building.

He is a board member of the Arab Council for Asset, Facility, and Maintenance Management, and the former Secretary General of the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA). Additionally, he served as the Director General of the Engineers Training Center at JEA.

Previously, Eng. Abu Afifeh worked with the Jordanian Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Public Works on international projects.

He has played a pivotal role in supporting engineers across the Middle East and Africa by enhancing their skills and competencies in line with international best practices across various fields, including engineering consultancy, education, professional certification, and capacity building. He has also made significant contributions to professional engineering topics, such as public-private partnerships (PPP), governance, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards, sustainability, climate change, strategic planning, total quality management, environmental health and safety, supply chain management, asset and facility management, and reforming engineering education.

For over 20 years, Eng. Abu Afifeh has represented Jordan in the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). During this time, he supervised the translation of FIDIC’s standard contracts into Arabic and managed projects for several global engineering publications, including the Engineering Supervision Guide, the Reinforcement Steel Guide for Buildings, and the Building Damage Assessment and Safety Procedures Guide Post-Disasters
